New York Fashion week has always been creating a milestone in the fashion industry. The first day of New York fashion week (9^th -16^th September) start the ball rolling with the stunning opening collection previews from the project Runway and its former contender Christian Siriano.

As expected, the winner of the fourth season Christian Siriano kicked off the show with his lovely and gracious collection. Te project Runway, was initiated by the sexy and sensuous actress/model Heidi Klum in her red trouser suit, which was looking magnificent. She wowed the audience at the start presenting Project Runway’s collection. The show went on with the sunshine yellow and fuschia pink following the dazzling red.

On your left waist tie a firm knot and gather the rest of the sari near your waist. Then tuck a bit of sari in your waist. Make pleats from the other end and tuck into the waist. Then fold rest of the sari into 4 or 5 folds and make sure that each fold is around ¾ of your hand. Then bring back the pleated sari and the folded sari between your legs. Now gather the folds neatly tuck them at back of your waist. Then gather the sari to your right in front draping over your left shoulder. Finally gather the decorative end (pallu) of the sari around your waist and tuck it neatly into left side of waist.

Dravidian style of sari wrapping is very common in the southern part of India. The classic Dravidian sari is called as the “veshti-mundanai” or “mundu set” that has two saris in it: first part (The veshti) is wrapped in the lower body; whiles the mundu, is used to drape the upper body. The Most Popular Style Of Sari Wrapping

This is the most common and popular style of sari wrapping in India. To wear this style of sari first you have to wear a waist to floor length petticoat and a waist length tight fitting blouse ending just blow the bust as shown in the picture 1.

v To start with, first tuck one end of the sari in the petticoat and make one complete round from right to left. The sari must touch the floor.pic -2

v Now take the tucked end of the sari and make some pleats. Make sure that the pleats are at least 5 inches deep.
